Red Shoe Day : A Division of Global Lyme & Invisible Illness Organisation
Red Shoe Day is a separate though intertwined division of the Global Lyme & Invisible Illness Organisation. It was established after Theda's passing in July 2013 and was founded as an annual day of remembrance for all those lost to invisible illness worldwide and highlights the very real fact that invisible illnesses can, and do lead to fatalities.
The aim of two separate divisions (Ie; Theda's Foundation and Red Shoe Day) is to keep Red Shoe Day dedicated to remembering those we have lost. The events organised around the day are intended to be ones devoted to memories and laughter, rather than fundraising.
The funds raised from the sale of merchandise connected with Red Shoe Day, eg: Red Shoe bracelets, necklaces and other artwork will go towards raising awareness of Invisible illness and sending care packages to carers / families of those lost. Whilst the funds raised from Theda's Wings (under development) and other projects of Theda's Mythical Dream Team will go to the aims as set out on the "About Us" section of this website.
