Global Lyme & Invisible Illness Organisation
Theda's Foundation is a Division of Global Lyme & Invisible Illness Organisation (GLiIO). The Association has been incorporated and the application for charity status (non for profit organisation) is being worked on.
GLiIO has a number of projects / divisions:
1. Connecting support groups and information around the World.
2. Uniting Worldwide Awareness In May: International Lyme Awareness Month.
3. Red Shoe Day : July 25th (Founded by Karen Smith and Lisa Hilton in 2014)
4. Theda's Foundation
The aim of separate divisions (Ie; Theda's Foundation and Red Shoe Day) is to keep Red Shoe Day dedicated to remembering those we have lost. The events organised around the day are intended to be ones devoted to memories and laughter, rather than fundraising. The funds raised from the sale of merchandise connected with Red Shoe Day, eg: Red Shoe bracelets, necklaces and other artwork will go towards raising awareness of Invisible illness and sending care packages to carers / families of those lost. Whilst the funds raised from Theda's Wings (under development) and other projects of Theda's Mythical Dream Team will go to the aims as set out on the "About Us" section of this website.
5. Holiday Seasons Events: Dedicated to connecting patients around the world so that no-one feels alone on the Holiday Season. Includes the Holiday Season Wishlist, and adding a craft group to be able to send children Santa Stockings / care packages in 2015.
